Fiance & Fiancee.

The time has come. My eldest brother will soon be engaged with his beau for a week before the solemnization ceremony happens the following weekend. I am over the moon with this news but at this very moment, everyone in the family can't be helping out with the preparations at all besides my second brother. 


Everyone else are either busy with work or at foreign countries. Bummer.


Nevertheless, looking forward to fly back home next week and prepare for this very day. :)

Brotherhood.

If there's someone that I've always looked up to, it's my second brother. Not because of his personality because sometimes, he gets all self-absorbed, vain and takes compliments too seriously but because of how he's always one step further than the rest.


In your life, there will always be people whom you can learn so much from, whose perspectives are incredibly awe-inspiring and people who never hesitate to share his knowledge with the rest. I don't think I can survive these rough few months at work without consulting him all the time and although everyone knows he lacks patience, when someone rings him up and asks for opinions on work & such, he's the type who would put aside his work and look into your issues and tries to see what he can help.


He's 23. He started working part-time tutoring loads of college students at 20, earned hundreds of thousands in 2 years (he charged A LOT but surprisingly, people just kept on going to him), worked at an established firm at 22 and basically climbing up the corporate world quicker than the rest. I mean, he was promoted to the assistant manager post in 4 months! If he's not bright, then I don't know who is.


I've got such an amazing brother. Single. Humbled. Steady. Beyond successful. 


Meanwhile, I'm trying to catch up with his light-speed pace. Too much to learn! :)

Love Yacht.

The only issues in a man's life is either women or money. I'm happy that I don't have any critical issues to deal with as such.

Some time back, I got to know this one amazing woman who would only look at the sunshine and not the gloomy, dimmed nights. Like a magnet, she attracted a lot of people to come and get to know the reason she can see this world in a whole different point of view. I was not excluded.

I loved the way we interacted and how she's always been herself, not forceful and just plain cool. We had a lot of hobbies in common but one thing that she didn't like doing was squash. But, I love squash. It was amazing to see how that particular woman played squash seriously in her whole life time with me, for me. 10 exhausting fruitful hours of squash at Parsons Green Club was... indescribably, effortlessly, amazing. 

Our first date was at a squash court!

And then there was one day when I came back in anger and the only person I'd want to turn to was her. Not because she'd listen and be angry together but because she is the person who would get me cold water, calm me down, make my favourite trifles, force me to nap and after I've completely cooled down, she'd say "everything's all right". She rarely asks me what's wrong, unless I tell. 

A completely lovely relationship with absolutely no pressure.

I woke up one morning in my office in Amsterdam to find that woman standing right in front of me with a box of chocolate muffins & a cup of black coffee. I found her presence to be more awakening than the smell of freshly brewed coffee, though. She's this type of woman who wouldn't shout "wake up!" beside your ears to wake you up. Instead, she would gladly give you a big, tight hug and plays with your hair in a graceful manner.

Unexpected moves at all times.

9 months ago, we took a step further and got into a relationship. 9 months later, we've changed each other. She isn't just another person in my life, she's now one part of my life. 

I am in love. Crazily.

Our relationship turns 9 months old today & I hope there are hundreds of months more to go.

What My Life is Like Now.

I've been busy flying here and there ever since I started work in July. I finished my work-cum-probation with my father in September, when he gladly let go of his treasure to me for expansions and (fingers crossed) more brilliant sales increase. I didn't want to start work, to be honest, but after many serious discussions with my parents, I turned down the offer from Imperial to do my MBA course and work's not bad! In fact, I prefer working to studying!

After 5 months of working, I can say I'm proud of how far I've brought the company over.

1. We're now in New York! I was contemplating whether I should open up a branch in New York or LA for 2 months but I finally settled for NY; one of my favourite cities. It's been a really great journey to work with an amazing team who never look at the downside of many issues. It's a completely different experience to deal with the people in States because they're more open and they believe in great deals & opportunities. They have faith in young talents and risky businesses in order to get a greater profit margins. I feel like my whole knowledge is being put to great use! 

2. I suggested that we expand our business to the tourism arena to the BOD one month after I started working. It's just an on-the-paper meeting because in the end, it's a family business and I turn to my dad & uncles for consultations and final decisions - which is great. We now offer boat houses for sale & long-term rentals in our HQ in Amsterdam. Besides, we've even gotten a canal and transformed it into a hotel-like base. It applies the same principle as the chalets-on-water. The only thing that differs is, we offer perfectly-equipped stationary boats! 

3. I'm now in the process of bringing over our company to Langkawi because a) we've parked a few of personal yachts & jet skis there b) there's great market and c) we all love Langkawi, don't we? Since my family doesn't quite like the idea of bringing it over to Malaysia, I created a sub-company offering beach activities instead. Though, it's not going to be a reality until the first quarter of next year. I can't wait to rock Cenang & Tengah beaches!

I haven't received e-mails from my readers for quite some time but yesterday, I received one asking where do I work at in general. New York it is, at least until January. Though, I still have to go back & forth to Amsterdam when there are important things to be signed or clarified. 


Busy schedules, yes. But I'm actually in love with my job! I thought I'd make a great doctor but hey, I think I make an amazing businessman as well. ;)
